Gripped by Christian love
Prayer & Action Steps:
- WATCH as “Joshua” discovers why he needs salvation through Jesus!
- THANK God for believers like these who courageously share their stories with others!
- PRAY for millions of young Muslim men to find identity and purpose in Jesus!
Millions of Muslims in India are seeking salvation through the practices of Islam, but God is opening many eyes to the Truth. This is not some nameless group, but individual people, created in the image of God. When we pray, remember that God loves each of them – including “Joshua”.
As a child, “Joshua’s” family taught him Islamic practices. But he did not know what they meant. They were only requirements for him.
When he moved to a city to learn more in school, he became friends with a Christian family. “Joshua” debated a lot with the father about Islam and Christianity. He was confused because the man had a Muslim background.
Eventually, “Joshua” decided not to talk with them anymore, because, he said, “How can a Muslim become a Christian?”
What would make “Joshua” listen to the Christian family? How would his own family and friends react to him talking to the Christians?
AT AGE SEVENTEEN, Tass Saada was carrying a high powered Simonov rifle. He had run away from home to become a PLO sniper and chauffeur for Arafat.
His experience growing up as a refugee in Saudi Arabia had taught him to hate. Like many Palestinians, his hatred — and his rifle — was aimed squarely at Israel.
Tass Saada’s story could have ended tragically, another casualty of the centuries of hatred brewing in the Middle East. But Tass was destined for better things. His story will give you an intimate look at
- the world of Arafat;
- the life, struggles, and heart of a Palestinian refugee;
- a Muslim who converted to Christianity and faced retribution at the hands of his relatives; and
- the transformation of hatred into love and hope.
This is more than the story of a Palestinian refugee making something good of his life in America. It’s the story of the ultimate triumph of love over hatred, reconciliation over persistent divisions. It’s a story that can inspire us all to overcome the divisions and conflicts in our own lives.
